Overview
FP&A Manager role at Robert Walters. This position is based in Reading with hybrid working. The role focuses on partnering, driving performance, improving efficiency, and implementing commercial process improvements within a high performing FP&A function. It involves using financial insight to shape strategy, guide operational excellence, and managing a small team. You will work closely with senior leaders to influence key decisions, clarify complex data, and lead scenario planning that drives real-world outcomes.
Base details
12 month fixed term contract • Reading based, hybrid working
Key responsibilities
* Partner with operational teams to deliver strategic goals through robust budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles.
* Lead scenario modelling and performance analysis to improve productivity and service delivery.
* Drive insight through activity-based costing, ROI and KPI analysis, and innovative reporting tools.
* Manage a small team and champion financial understanding across the business.
* Build business cases that articulate clear, measurable benefits.
* Influence senior stakeholders and guide the financial direction of key initiatives.
Experience and qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CA) - essential
* Strong analytical skills with proven experience in performance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
* Experience in medium to large organisations, ideally with exposure to service delivery models
* Experience in activity-based reporting and productivity measurement
* Strategic mindset with a collaborative, influential approach
* Previous people management or mentoring experience
