Facilities Engineering Support Manager
Location: Dartford (Head Office) with UK & Ireland Site Travel
Salary: £25 per hour
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (2 Years) – Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
Potential: Fixed-term with potential to become permanent, subject to performance
About the Role
Ebenezer Global FM Ltd is seeking a dynamic, highly organised Facilities Engineering Support Manager to join our Facilities Management team on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
This is a senior operational and strategic role, responsible for the planning, delivery, and oversight of engineering and building services maintenance across a diverse Government property portfolio in the UK and Ireland.
You will be primarily based at our Dartford Head Office, with regular site travel as required.

Key Responsibilities
* Design, plan, and implement engineering and building services maintenance across PE&H-managed premises
* Ensure facilities, plant, equipment, and energy systems are maintained in line with statutory requirements and contractual standards
* Lead and manage human, financial, and physical resources to deliver optimum service performance
* Line manage Supervisors and multidisciplinary teams of skilled engineers and maintenance assistants
* Oversee specialist medical engineering services, including:
* Sterilisation and decontamination equipment
* Medical gases
* Pressure vessels
* Act as the nominated officer for:
* Legionella management, including planning, monitoring, and control measures
* Energy and environmental programmes, covering utilities, waste management, recycling, and sustainability initiatives
* Produce, implement, and review Estates policies and contribute to DHSC policy development and strategic planning
* Manage asbestos compliance, including building registers, correspondence, and remedial actions
* Act as an ambassador and role model within the council and contract delivery environment
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, departmental procedures, and statutory regulations
* Support emergency response, project delivery, and customer requirements, including approved out-of-hours working
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in facilities engineering, estates management, or building services
* Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering or maintenance teams
* Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety, and building services legislation
* Ability to work across multiple sites and manage complex operational demands
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Additional Information
* Out-of-hours working may be required and will be approved by line management
* Other reasonable duties may be required in line with the role
