What You’ll Be Doing
* You will lead a team of up to 20 commissioning engineers responsible for the safe and effective commissioning of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems at Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station.
* Drive performance in line with safety, quality, time, and cost expectations and contribute to the delivery of the overall project schedule.
* Develop and implement commissioning processes and procedures in line with best practices from INPO and WANO, and with UK and French regulatory frameworks.
* Collaborate with EDF specialists and maintain liaison with UK nuclear regulators to ensure standards are met.
* Contribute to strategic workforce planning and create detailed short-, medium-, and long-term resourcing plans.
* Shape training programmes to ensure team members achieve the required UK qualifications.
* Promote cross-functional collaboration and process simplification to improve site productivity.
* Support contractor oversight, contract management, and issue resolution as part of broader delivery efforts.
Who You Are
* Strong technical background in industrial, power generation, or process engineering, with hands-on experience in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C).
* Proven track record of leading technical teams, delivering complex projects in regulated environments, and upholding strong safety and quality cultures.
* Clear and confident communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to varied audiences; understanding of the safety case process and design substantiation; commercial awareness of how project changes impact delivery.
* Degree (or equivalent) in an Instrumentation & Control engineering discipline; Chartered Engineer status or equivalent preferred.
* Experience commissioning nuclear plant systems and leading teams in a programme-driven project environment is advantageous; understanding of complex plant commissioning and nuclear or process plant operations is valuable.
