Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team in Leigh, United Kingdom. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes.
1. Provide personalised care and support to clients, tailoring your approach to their individual needs
2. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and medication management
3. Prepare nutritious meals and help with light housework to maintain a clean and safe living environment
4. Accompany clients on outings and appointments, promoting social engagement and independence
5. Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering positive relationships with clients and their families
6. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the care coordinator
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
8. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in care provision
Qualifications
9. Genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact on people's lives
10. Caring, patient, and empathetic nature with excellent interpersonal skills
11. Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
12. Physical stamina to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
13. Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping and medication management
14. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
16. Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and care techniques
17. Valid UK driving licence (preferred)
18. Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
19. DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required
