Nanny/Housekeeper | Richmond, TW9 | £23 gross per hour | 40 hours per week babysitting We are recruiting on behalf of our client—an informal, warm and welcoming family of four based in Richmond, TW9—who are looking for a professional, hands-on Nanny/Housekeeper to join their household. This is a long-term role in a friendly, down-to-earth home where you’ll quickly become part of the family team. The household includes two lovely children, aged 8 and 10, and two busy working parents who need someone reliable and proactive to help keep things running smoothly. The family is seeking someone who naturally takes initiative—who notices what needs doing and just gets on with it. They value a calm, can-do attitude, someone who doesn’t wait to be told, who takes pride in their work, and genuinely enjoys being part of a busy home. The role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically working 11am–7pm Monday to Thursday and 9am–5pm on Fridays. There will be regular opportunities for evening babysitting, and flexibility for this is essential. The family will always provide notice and appreciate your adaptability. You’ll be responsible for collecting the children from school as needed, supporting them with homework, (cajoling and encouraging) taking them to after-school activities, and ensuring they’re safe, supported, and happy. They’re confident, kind-hearted children who thrive on routine and encouragement. Alongside childcare, the home requires a confident housekeeper who can take ownership of all household duties. The property is spacious, with six bedrooms, three bathrooms, two reception rooms, and a summer cabin in the garden. You’ll manage all housekeeping responsibilities including cleaning, laundry, ironing, changing bed linen, tidying, and general organisation. During school holidays, when the family often travel, you’ll use the time to deep clean and reset the home. Cooking or meal preparation for the family will be needed throughout the week, on occasion, simple, nutritious meals, depending on the parents schedules. The role also includes some light household management—keeping the house well stocked, overseeing tradespeople and gardeners, and helping to ensure everything runs like clockwork. If you drive, a car is provided for work use and there is parking available, though driving is preferred, it is not essential for the right candidate. What really matters here is attitude. The family is looking for someone experienced, but more importantly, someone grounded, trustworthy, and hardworking—who will roll up their sleeves and bring positive energy into the home. You’ll be someone who cares about the details and takes pride in your work, but who is also warm, kind, and easy to get along with.
