Job Title: Part-Time Accounts Assistant Payables & Receivables
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire | Onsite | Free Employee Parking
Hours: Part-time approx. 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Yorkshire-born company, operating from our Huddersfield HQ, are looking for a dependable and detail-focused Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. Working closely with the Accounts Manager, youll provide daily support across both accounts payable and receivable functions. This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent part-time hours, spread across the working week.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update customer records; create new customer accounts
Raise and issue sales invoices and credit notes
Send monthly statements and follow up on overdue payments
Post customer receipts and respond to account queries
Process and code supplier invoices and credit notes accurately
Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payments when due
Handle overseas payments and update financial records accordingly
Maintain Excel-based tracking sheets to support weekly reporting
Submit licensed sales reports to online platforms
Reconcile credit card transactions and statements
Complete weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and VAT reconciliation processes
Support wider admin duties including filing, printing, and correspondence
What theyre Looking For: Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance admin role
Familiarity with Sage and Microsoft Excel is highly beneficial
Excellent attention to detail and organisation
Proactive, approachable, and a strong team player
Reliable and able to manage day-to-day tasks independently
