An alternative provision in Gateshead is seeking a confident and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. This role would suit candidates from youth work, coaching, care, residential support or education backgrounds. Responsibilities: Building positive relationships with pupils Supporting behaviour plans and interventions Assisting pupils who may be disengaged from education Supporting attendance and classroom engagement Promoting positive outcomes and emotional wellbeing Working alongside pastoral and safeguarding teams Working Hours: Monday: 8:30am – 4:15pm Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm Wednesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm Thursday: 8:30am – 4:15pm Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm Requirements: Experience supporting young people desirable Strong behaviour management skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply Full-time commitment required All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
