Overview
Location: Guildford, UK | Discipline: Structural Engineering. We are looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of innovative structural solutions across commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. You will help build structures from bridges and deep basements to tunnels, marine structures, and high-rise buildings, supported by expert mentors and innovation.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Contribute to structural designs across a variety of challenging, high-profile projects
* Work on both permanent and temporary works, ensuring all solutions are robust, creative, and buildable
* Carry out site inspections and ensure design is implemented correctly during construction
* Solve real-world engineering problems with a blend of creativity and technical knowledge
* Assist with tender documentation and contribute to project bids
* Ensure delivery of high-quality solutions on time and within project scope
* Monitor design standards, health & safety, legal, and environmental compliance
What You Bring
* Must-Haves: A minimum 2:1 degree (BEng or MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Solid knowledge of structural design in steel and reinforced concrete
* Strong report-writing and presentation skills
* A commitment to continuous learning and achieving Chartered status
* Understanding of current Codes of Practice, Eurocodes, and Health & Safety regulations
* Effective communicator—able to build strong relationships with clients and teams alike
