As a Manufacturing Technician, you will maintain and improve processes in an assigned production area.
What you will be accountable for driving:
1. Maintain or improve Manufacturing Engineering processes, such as Standard Work development, process simulations, process standards, BIQ etc.
2. Assist Engineers in developing and improving facility layouts and manufacturing releasing processes.
3. Review and address problems in processing, tool design, standards development and application, acquisition of tools and equipment, layout, automated storage systems, etc.
4. Maintain awareness of technological advances in processing, automation of material movement. This knowledge is used to provide input into project assignments in an assigned area of the shop.
5. Investigate shop problems and follow up on recommendations. You work within generally defined procedures and guidelines but have the latitude to look into and solve common manufacturing process problems. Guidance is available from Manufacturing Engineers and/or Manager.
6. Assists with the more complex issues related to establishing capital requirements, developing systems or databases, or equipment and systems integration.
7. Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties.

Required qualifications:
8. Internal candidates must have satisfactorily completed a minimum of one years’ service in their current position to apply for another role, or have obtained, in writing, authorisation from their manager to waive this requirement. Candidates should always inform their manager prior to applying for any new role.
9. Internal candidates must not have any live disciplinaries or be on a performance action plan.
10. Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly Excel.
11. Demonstrated manufacturing experience with skills in process planning and area layout.
12. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Top Candidates will also have:
13. Appropriate technical or university degree
14. Demonstrated experience in using advanced Engineering software, such as AutoCAD and Creo (or similar 3D modelling software)

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician- 18 months
Salary: £29,500 - £35,000 depending on experience
Contract: 18 month contract
