Job Description for the Sales Estimator role:
* Maintaining effective customer relationships with various current and prospective accounts, with the aim of taking orders at budgeted/targeted margins
* Preparing information for quotes and bid-writing for prospective and current customers
* To liaise with manufacturing, drawing, despatch, and purchasing teams to ensure a first-class customer experience, keeping abreast of raw material prices, labour timescales, and lead times to aid in estimating
* To read technical drawings to gather details ensuring bid accuracy and suitability of quoted products
* To support the sales function by submitting detailed, accurate, and timely quotations and bids
* Occasionally travel to client sites to provide support
Skills and experience for the Sales Estimator role:
* Manufacturing or engineering experience is essential
* Bid writing experience is advantageous
* Ability to read technical drawings; CAD experience is a plus
* 5 GCSEs including Math & English at C level or equivalent
* Strong team player with a flexible approach
* Proficient in MS Office
* Experience with CRM systems is an advantage
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 DOE per annum
