A full time vacancy has become available for a full time Health Care Support Worker on Ffynnon Ward B in Holywell Community Hospital. Our aim is to provide quality, planned care for the patients. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of nurses responsible for providing, maintaining and coordinating a high standard of planned holistic care and nursing treatments, under the indirect supervision of the nurse in charge of the Ward.
Main duties of the job
* To assist registered nurses/practitioners to deliver based care to patients/clients, working in partnership with other health care professionals, the patient their family and carers.
* Deliver patient care as documented in the nursing care plan. Carry out a wide range of duties under the supervision of a registered nurse for the period of the shift.
* Supporting clients/service users in maintaining their health and wellbeing.
* Undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
* Good general education – evidence of completion of QCF at Level 2 / obtain or equivalent within 6 months whilst in post
* Have an understanding of role and function of Health Services.
Experience
* Previous / current role to demonstrate working with members of the public
* Clear understanding of clinical governance framework
Skills
* Ability to maintain clear accurate records and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
* Understanding of risk management and health and safety issues.
Other
* Team player and the ability to work flexibly when required to meet the needs of the service.
* Ability to speak Welsh
