As a Project Manager you will work on an account for a global brand, handling multiple projects to ensure consistency and quality of delivery. You will manage campaigns from start to finish, umbrella the whole project, and work closely with all disciplines and agency partners. This is a client-facing role with ownership and responsibility for timings, scope of work, staffing plans, budgets and logistics, becoming the trusted face of delivery. You will refine process and be the client operations expert on every account.
The day-to-day
* Lead forward planning, hold regular status meetings with account teams to keep communication open, and update relevant workflow documentation.
* Set up and run ignition meetings at the beginning of every project, ensuring all are clear on the agreed actions/plans discussed.
* Partner closely with Account Handling and discipline leads to manage client scope of work across multiple channels, coordinating multiple agency partners.
* Produce fee estimates together with a scope of work document, gain relevant approvals before starting work, and continually track project burn rates and progress; flag concerns with the relevant team.
* Track and report incremental scope opportunities; produce and follow accurate timing plans agreed with all parties.
* Schedule and attend creative review meetings, facilitate attendance of key stakeholders, and ensure meetings start and finish on time with clear deliverables.
* Hold regular catch ups with the Account Management team to monitor and control the creative and production workflow; work with producers to ensure review of work prior to client presentation and address concerns.
* Attend production meetings and, where necessary, client presentations; set and meet client expectations and feed through to the account team structure.
* Advocate for internal processes and ensure the right people are involved at each key stage of the project; coordinate with other Project Managers to stay aware of live projects and plan prioritisation.
* Be the calming and motivating influence in the team; use knowledge of individuals’ strengths to ensure effective teamwork and minimize disruption during changes or conflicts; communicate project changes clearly and promptly.
* Apply strong written and verbal communication; act as the go-to person/lynchpin of the project.
Budget Control / Financial Management
* Produce fee estimates with a scope of work document and secure approvals before starting; ensure teams know available time and raise warnings if time may be insufficient.
* Attend weekly financial meetings to review the financial status of live projects; accurately estimate and manage client approvals; issue purchase orders and reconcile projects on completion.
People Management
* Be the calming, motivating influence in the team; leverage individual strengths for effective teamwork; reach agreements quickly with minimal disruption; communicate changes clearly.
* Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication; be the hub of the project.
What you need to have
* Ability to contribute to development and execution of creative work; proactive with a can-do attitude and solution focus; well organised and forward thinking.
* An enthusiastic team player with energy to take responsibility for the core team; strong project/program management; ability to anticipate and proactively manage projects; planning and process optimization.
* Knowledge of both online and offline production; ability to work with external agency partners; willingness to learn and develop with the core team; strong financial control.
* Experience and Knowledge: client-facing experience in management and delivery of a wide range of projects across multiple channels; demonstrable track record of delivering projects to quality, on time and on budget; interest in world-class creative output; strong negotiation, verbal and written communication; ability to influence, negotiate and solve problems at all levels; experience mentoring junior project managers; prior agency experience.
