The Opportunity
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join the team at Dornoch Station. Reporting into the General Manager you will be responsible for:
* Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
* Implement preventive maintenance programme.
* Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, public areas and back of house facilities.
* Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
* Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
* Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
* Allocate workload and supervise the team.
* Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
* Monitor expenses and control the budget.
* Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
* Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
* Ensure health and safety and fire policies are complied with.
* Act fast to resolve emergency issues.
* Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs.
* Ensure operation is meeting sustainability goals.
* Maintain and supervise maintenance contracts and activity logs of periodical inspections.
What are we looking for?
* Minimum 2 years maintenance experience, preferably within a hotel environment (although not essential)
* IOSH Essentia
* Accomplished Leader of Teams
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Conflict management solution skills are essential.
* Expert knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire Regulations
* Good Verbal and IT skills
* Problem Solving Aptitude
* Strong interpersonal skills
