With a state-of-the-art head office and showroom, they deliver workplace, hospitality, healthcare and education fit-out and refurbishment projects throughout the UK. Known for their collaborative approach, they foster long-term relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers. Role Overview They are seeking to appoint an experienced and well-rounded Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead to oversee a major hotel fit-out project in Manchester city centre, due to commence in July 2025 and run through to January 2026. Valued at circa £5m, this project will be your immediate focus, followed by an opportunity to influence the commercial infrastructure of the business and take a leadership role in the development of internal systems and strategy. This role offers a clear pathway to Commercial Manager and Commercial Director level. Key Responsibilities Full commercial management of a major high-end hotel fit-out project from pre-construction through to final account Develop and implement commercial procedures, systems, and controls across the business Manage procurement, subcontractor negotiation, and contract administration Track and report on project costs, cash flow, and profitability Build positive working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants and internal delivery teams Support project delivery with accurate forecasting, timely valuations, and risk mitigation Champion value engineering and project cost savings without compromising on quality Requirements Proven UK experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Lead in fit-out, refurbishment, or interiors contracting Excellent knowledge of UK construction contracts and commercial best practice Friendly, adaptable and relationship-focused approach to stakeholder engagement Able to lead on variation management, but with a balanced and collaborative mindset Commercially ambitious and eager to grow into a senior leadership role Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required What's on Offer Competitive salary package of £60,000 - £65,000 car allowance Full-time permanent role with excellent career progression High-profile project involvement from day one Supportive and people-focused company culture Opportunity to shape the commercial strategy of a growing contractor
