Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical professions. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, and 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is: To be agreed with the successful candidate but will involve weekend working.

Within South Sector the AHP teams work together to provide high quality care for our patients.
Responsibilities
* Assist the occupational therapy and physiotherapy staff in delivering a high-quality service to patients. Work will be mainly in a ward environment but may vary according to service and patient group.
* Carry your own patient caseload and treat patients following protocol-led guidelines.
* Support and engage with patients to promote recovery and independence.
* Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience as a therapy support worker at Band 3 level.
* Ability to engage with and motivate others; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to health care, flexibility and a strong team work ethic.
Training and Support
Training will be provided to undertake clinical and non-clinical duties. You will be fully supported by the occupational therapy and physiotherapy staff and will participate in supervision and personal development planning to support continuous professional development.
Details
Primary base at Gartnavel General Hospital with cover to other sites in the South Sector.
