ICT Engineer
Location: Cheltenham | On-site
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum

Our client, a leading organisation within the education sector, is hiring an ICT Engineer to support and develop a busy, modern IT environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring reliable, secure, and forward-thinking technology services that underpin both learning and business operations.
This is an opportunity to work in a varied, hands-on role where technology is central to day-to-day delivery, with scope to contribute to infrastructure improvements and longer-term ICT strategy.
What you’ll do
Maintain and support the organisation’s core ICT systems and infrastructure
Take ownership of server and network-related issues, including proactive maintenance
Act as an escalation point for complex technical incidents
Carry out root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
Support and mentor junior members of the ICT team
Work on ICT projects and system improvements throughout the year
Liaise with third-party suppliers where required
You’ll work closely with teaching staff, operational teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure technology supports both educational delivery and wider organisational needs.
What we’re looking for
Experience in a busy IT support or ICT engineering environment
Strong technical skills across Windows-based systems and networks
Exposure to Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and virtualised environments
Experience supporting a mix of devices (Windows, Apple, mobile devices)
A proactive, customer-focused approach to IT support
