TPF Recruitment is delighted to be working with a growing accountancy and business advisory firm based in Camberley, who are looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join their growing team.
This firm provides tailored advice and accounting solutions to entrepreneurial and high growth businesses and continues to expand as a result of ongoing success. This role would suit an ambitious and versatile individual who is looking to progress their career within a supportive practice environment.
About the Role
This is a varied accounts-focused role where you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality accounts and tax services to a portfolio of clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing statutory and annual accounts for a wide range of clients, including SMEs and limited companies
Preparing draft corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
Producing complete year end accounting files with supporting schedules
Delivering ad-hoc advisory services to clients
Maintaining and developing strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues
Managing client expectations and delivering work within agreed timeframes
Delegating tasks and reviewing the work of junior team members
Mentoring trainees and supporting their professional development
Supporting Partners and Managers with their client portfolios
Ensuring compliance with professional standards and internal procedures
Contributing to continuous improvement of internal processes and working practices
RequirementsWho We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
ACA or ACCA qualification, recently qualified
Strong practical experience gained within an accountancy practice environment
Solid experience preparing statutory and annual accounts
Experience preparing corporation tax computations and returns
Experience reviewing junior staff work and providing guidance
Confidence using cloud accounting software, particularly Xero, alongside QuickBooks, Sage and Excel
Strong IT skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
BenefitsThis role offers a competitive salary in the region of £40,000-£52,000 dependent on experience, a friendly and collaborative working environment, and the opportunity to develop your technical and client management skills within a growing firm.
