Technical Compliance Manager Opportunity
We’re recruiting a Technical Compliance Manager to support a market-leading organisation within the roofing and construction materials sector. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and driving best practice across UK & Ireland operations.
The Role
Reporting to the Technical & Compliance Director, you’ll lead the implementation and day-to-day delivery of compliance initiatives, safeguarding operational integrity and reputation. You’ll work closely with Legal, Quality, Safety and field-based teams, operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
* Regulatory & Policy Compliance: Monitor UK & Ireland legislation, health & safety, and industry standards; develop and embed compliance policies across the business.
* Risk Management: Lead audits and risk assessments, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.
* Leadership & Collaboration: Provide guidance to field-based compliance and site services teams, driving alignment and accountability.
* Site & Contractor Compliance: Oversee approved contractor schemes, site survey standards, and after-sales complaint inspections, including high-value cases.
* Training & Continuous Improvement: Design and deliver compliance training and promote a strong compliance culture.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting: Act as a key compliance contact for internal teams, auditors, and industry bodies; produce clear reports for senior leadership.
About You
* Strong technical knowledge of construction/roofing regulations and standards, with proven on-site experience (flat and/or pitched roofing).
* Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management experience.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Able to manage multiple projects, investigations, and deadlines effectively.
* Detail-focused, resilient, and proactive, with a collaborative mindset.
