The Role
We are looking for a driven and personable Area Account Manager to take ownership of an established and high-performing territory covering Cambridgeshire, East Anglia, and North Essex.
This is a hybrid role, combining field-based sales and account management on the road, and an administration catch up day every other Friday, which can either be from home or our HQ office based in Peterborough.
You’ll be responsible for selling, merchandising, and replenishing stock across our electrical wholesaler network, while also driving awareness and sales of our bespoke signage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow an existing portfolio of electrical wholesaler accounts
* Regularly visit branches to sell in, replenish stock, and maintain displays
* Identify opportunities to increase product range and spend within each account
* Promote our custom signage and branding solutions to generate new business
* Build strong, long-term relationships with branch managers and counter staff
* Deliver product training and support to customers where needed
* Work closely with the internal sales desk and wider team
* Maintain accurate reporting and account records
Training & Development
* Full onboarding and training provided at our Peterborough head office
* Hands-on experience working within our busy sales desk environment
* Ongoing support from an experienced and collaborative team
Working Pattern
* Field-based role across your territory
* Office-based training and support in Peterborough
* Hybrid working, including an admin day working from home every other Friday
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in field sales, account management, or a customer-facing role
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills
* Self-motivated, organised, and target-driven
* A proactive approach with a “can-do” attitude
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience within the electrical wholesale or trade sector is desirable but not essential
