A fantastic opportunity based in Dubai with one of our private clients for an Occupational Therapist. Our client works in collaboration with parents and professionals.
Out-Reach Service is available at selected schools and nurseries in Dubai, facilitating 1:1 and/or group therapy, supporting teachers and students with Special Education Needs (SEN).
The centre is equipped with a sensory gym, a multi-sensory Snoezelen room and several therapy rooms suitable for 1:1 therapy as well as small group settings. The therapists have the advantage of working within a multi-disciplinary team.

* Salary: from AED15,000 - AED17,000 Monthly (Tax Free) + Benefits Package

Job Role:
* To hold a defined clinical caseload, combined with being an identified resource within the clinical setting
* To plan and deliver a child-centred occupational therapy service to a personal caseload of children and their families/carers in an outpatient setting.
* Through analysis and synthesis of findings, develop individual goal-oriented treatment and intervention plans in collaboration with the child (as appropriate), family/carers and MDT.
* To utilise specialist occupational therapy skills in the assessment of the parent/guardian's understanding of treatment proposals, to gain valid informed consent for interventions and to work within a legal framework where consent issues are complex.
* To assess, prescribe, arrange provision and installation of specialised equipment and adaptations including seating, wheelchairs and pressure relieving equipment.
* To ensure children's reviews demonstrate clinical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to determine agreed outcomes across healthcare.
* To undertake risk assessments to determine appropriate management, specifically related to moving and handling and the safe use of equipment.
* To apply an understanding of factors influencing child development and of the effect of disability on the child's occupational performance and the family.
* To communicate and liaise effectively with other professionals, patients, family/carers and other agencies to ensure an integrated pattern of service delivery.

Requirements:
* At least Bachelor's degree (NO to short-term diploma/certificate due to licensing requirement)
* At least 5 year post-graduate experience
* DHA license or DHA eligibility letter (preferred)
* With driving license or experience (advantage)
* Good level of written and spoken English
