CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Electrophysiologist to join an innovative biotech with a strong pipeline of preclinical and clinical candidates. The role will be fully based at their laboratories in Stevenage.This is a permanent role.THE ROLEWe are seeking an electrophysiologist with experience in the use of solid supported membrane-based electrophysiology (SSME) exemplified by the SURFE2R system (Nanion Technologies GmbH). Through a lead role in the use of this technology, the candidate will deliver important insights into the pharmacology of novel ion channel and other targeted small molecules to support ongoing drug discovery as part of a dynamic preclinical R&D group.Key duties will include:- Planning, execution and analysis of electrophysiology focused experiments to drive drug discovery and new target validation- Giving scientific presentations at internal and external meetings, including conferences and to partner companiesQUALIFICATIONSAs Senior Electrophysiologist you will require:- A relevant PhD will be preferred- Experience with in-vitro whole cell patch clamp recordings- A strong understanding of ion channels, neuroscience and the principals of electrophysiology and pharmacology- Experience with sold supported membrane-based electrophysiology (SSME) is desirableBENEFITS:Competitive base salary plus a good benefits package which includes 12% annual bonus, Healthcare cash benefit and free gym membership.Apply:It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
