Although this position is a 12-month fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted based on the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalize pre-employment checks. The contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer to join our friendly pharmacy operational team for a 9 to 12 months contract.
We require an experienced individual with drive, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to work under pressure. You should be a team player, able to perform effectively within the pharmacy and wider healthcare settings.
For this role, you are required to have completed an NVQ QCF Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, and have experience in a pharmacy setting.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the dispensary team with accurate processing and dispensing of medication requests.
2. Contributing to the provision of bulk medication supplies to wards and departments.
3. Ensuring the smooth running of the pharmacy dispensary service.
4. Promoting and reflecting the WECARE trust values within the department and across the trust.
