Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage UK ETS projects and studies.
* Provide annual ETS compliance support including notifications, variations, verification support and heat sub‑installation calculations.
* Identify and assess decarbonisation opportunities such as flare management, methane reduction and renewable energy options.
* Interact with clients to ensure delivery of requirements to agreed scope, schedule and budget.
* Review engineering design documentation and drawings in support of environmental studies.
* Plan and lead energy/emissions management workshops.
Required Skills
* University degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
* Strong and relevant experience in industrial emissions legislation and the UK/EU Emissions Trading Scheme, with a proven track record of supporting and/or leading compliance activities.
* Strong time‑management, planning and organisational skills.
* Problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
* Excellent written skills with good attention to detail.
* Mentoring of less experienced team members.
* Innovative thinking.
* Commercial awareness.
Preferred Attributes
* Knowledge of oil and gas operations.
* Knowledge of environmental engineering techniques and solutions for pollution control and mitigation.
* Working knowledge of key atmospheric management requirements such as Emission Reduction Action Plans and OGMP2.0.
* ESOS experience, with Lead Assessor accreditation beneficial but not essential.
