What you’ll be doing:
* Demonstrate and promote a thorough knowledge of company guidelines and authority levels to achieve new‑business targets.
* Provide excellent service to brokers and ensure deadlines are met.
* Underwrite a variety of exposures within defined authority.
* Attend underwriting meetings and provide insight into developments, trends and market conditions.
* Develop and maintain excellent working relationships within the wider business.
Our must haves:
* Demonstrable underwriting experience – ideally in social welfare/care risks (commercial insurance also considered).
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Track record in building and developing broker relationships.
* Proficient IT skills including MS Office and broker e‑trading platform.
* Proven ability to secure business while maintaining underwriting discipline.
