All About Desserts creates sensational chilled desserts and baked goods for the travel, retail, leisure, hospitality and food service industries. Unlike many roles within food industry, these are a Monday to Friday position and these roles are working within our high care section producing a range of products for our standard of quality and specification.
Bakery Operative
Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
As a Bakery Operative, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of cakes, cookies, and baked goods. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in a bakery or food production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Follow recipes and production instructions to prepare and bake bakery products
* Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards
* Clean ovens, workstations, and tools before, during, and after shifts
* Follow all hygiene and food safety procedures
* Operate equipment safely and report any maintenance needs
* Support the bakery team with any additional production tasks as required
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of bakery or food production experience
* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
* Good level of physical fitness (standing, lifting, moving ingredients)
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Ability to read and follow recipes and written instructions
Production Operative
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm
Pay: Competitive (discussed at interview)
As a Production Operative, you'll assist with weighing, mixing, and producing a wide range of cakes and desserts. You'll be working with raw ingredients and operating equipment in a structured production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and weigh ingredients accurately according to recipe specifications
* Operate mixing, depositing, and cutting equipment within guidelines
* Hand-finish products as required
* Prepare raw ingredients, ensuring stock rotation and allergen controls
* Maintain hygiene standards, including cleaning equipment and production areas
* Complete production paperwork accurately
* Adhere to HACCP, food safety, and health & safety protocols
Requirements:
* Experience in a food production or manufacturing environment preferred
* High attention to hygiene and allergen safety
* Ability to work efficiently within a team and meet timeframes
* Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
* Good communication and documentation skills
