Our client, a well-established engineering company in Northern Ireland, is seeking an experienced Fitter / Vehicle Body Installation Technician to join its growing team. This role involves the installation and fitting of lorry-mounted equipment and hydraulic systems for commercial vehicles.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical fitting, hydraulic, electrical, or commercial vehicle experience who are looking for long-term employment with a reputable employer.
Key Responsibilities
* Install lorry-mounted loader equipment, hook loaders, and skip loader systems to commercial vehicles
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and installation manuals
* Carry out fitting and assembly of hydraulic and 24V electrical components
* Work efficiently with production schedules and deadlines
* Ensure all work is completed to a high quality and safety standard
* Work closely with engineers and production staff to improve installation processes
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar mechanical fitting or installation role
* A good understanding of hydraulic and/or 24V electrical systems would be advantageous
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Visa & English Language Requirement
