About the Role
Reporting to the Regional SHEQ Manager, and a key member of the SHEQ Team, SHEQ Coordinators are responsible for leading and promoting a culture that prioritizes health, safety, and environmental responsibility. They ensure workforce engagement and understanding of safety responsibilities, and develop hazard risk management systems aligned with business goals to monitor safety, health, environmental quality, and corporate risk, aiming for hazard control, zero injuries, and autonomous safety.
Key accountabilities:
* Assist the Regional SHEQ Manager in achieving business objectives.
* Implement SHEQ activities to improve health, safety, and environmental performance.
* Ensure proper reporting and investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformities.
* Maintain accident and incident records, investigations, and corrective actions.
* Generate monthly performance reports for health, safety, and environment.
* Build relationships with operational leaders and contribute to compliance with Group requirements.
* Review and develop SHEQ documents such as risk assessments and safe systems of work.
* Maintain and control management system documents.
* Conduct environmental checks on operational sites and coordinate external surveys.
* Manage contractor control database and waste destination documentation.
Experience and Skills:
* Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
* Qualified to IOSH Managing Safely.
* NEBOSH General Certificate or willingness to obtain.
* Self-motivated and confident.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Full Driving Licence.
