Overview

We are recruiting an Employment Adviser to support participants in overcoming barriers to employment and achieving realistic job goals. The role involves managing a caseload, providing coaching, mentoring, building positive relationships with participants and employers, and driving outcomes in line with key performance indicators.


Responsibilities

* Meet and exceed personal KPI targets (Key Performance Indicators).
* Progressively manage a caseload, using appropriate strategies to help participants overcome barriers to employment.
* Deliver a positive experience to new customers, ensuring engagement with the programme.
* Achieve the required Customer Service Standards.
* Facilitate assessments with a suite of tools to understand each customer’s circumstances, ambitions and goals.
* Provide advice on self‑employment and signpost to internal specialists where required.
* Co‑produce personalised Action Plans featuring SMART targets to enable timely progression.
* Provide tailored support for job‑search and interview preparation to match customers with suitable roles.
* Provide training and guidance on digital technologies to enable self‑service learning and application to online vacancies.
* Ensure all evidence requirements are met to verify job starts.
* Understand the local labour market to source suitable opportunities.
* Undertake direct marketing to employers via digital media (email, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
* Market specific customers to employers.
* Identify recruitment needs and conduct tailored prescreens and group assessments.
* Develop relationships with key stakeholders to maximise job opportunities (e.g., local businesses, chamber of commerce, partnership managers).
* Maintain records to the required compliance and quality standards.
* Develop an understanding of local specialist signposting services, applying knowledge where appropriate.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure excellent service delivery.
* Act as an employee owner, always considering the best interests of the company, shareholders and colleagues.
* Champion best practice and adherence to organisational standards.
* Work flexibly, including travel and overnight stays, as needed to meet the role’s demands.
* Accountable for own professional development and undertake training identified in the performance review process.
* Handle personal data in accordance with the organisation’s data protection policy.
* Promote Prevent and safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults.
* Adhere to all company policies: safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, quality, health & safety, and IT.
* Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post.


Qualifications

* Good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified locations.
* Basic knowledge of self‑employment.
* Fully IT‑literate, using Microsoft Office programmes.
* Experience working in a target‑driven environment.
* Experience delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.


Desirable Qualifications

* Knowledge of the employability industry.
* Knowledge of the recruitment industry.
* Experience working with people in the provision of information, advice & guidance.
* Full driving licence.

Location & Working Hours

Office‑based role in Bath.

37 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5 pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
