Lead Solar Design Engineer
Colchester
£65,000 - £75,000 plus individual and company performance bonuses, progression to Design Manager/Design Director, and training.
Our client is a well‑established renewable energy company specialising in the development, design, construction and operation of commercial and utility‑scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems across the UK.
Responsibilities
* Design LV, MV and HV renewable energy systems.
* Support tendering activities and technical project delivery.
* Lead and review electrical designs across Solar PV and BESS projects.
* Oversee both internal and external design teams.
* Office‑based role in Colchester.
Qualifications
* Degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering.
* 18th Edition qualification.
* Experience in the electrical design of BESS and Solar PV systems.
* Strong technical understanding of renewable energy systems.
