Job Overview PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM STAFF CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY BETSI CADWALADR UNIVERSITY HEALTH BOARD The base for the Successful Candidate will be decided on appointment, this will be one of the 3 main acute sites for BCUHB. This role covers a PAN BCU service and agile working will be expected. Provides high-level administrative and secretarial services for the Professional Service Manager Radiography, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Manages and participates in radiology projects, undertaking enquiries and gathering information. Investigates radiology concerns, clinical negligence claims and coordinates coroner requests ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, Health Board policies and procedures. Responsible for the development, maintenance and management of the radiology concerns database. Conducts daily administration, operational management and rota coordination for the radiology registrars Deals with radiology registrar issues and supports HR processes. This is a secondment for 6 months to cover the needs of the service If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post. Main duties of the job Act as the first point of contact by telephone, email and correspondence for Professional Service Manager Radiography - resolving problems, providing advice on a wide range of matters, or referring to the most appropriate person as necessary. Provide clerical and secretarial support for the Professional Service Manager Radiography, Provide administrative support for the registrar training programme in radiology. Work independently to conduct patient surveys, and patient-related studies to inform and develop radiology service improvements Communicate feedback from independent surveys and studies back to radiology staff Formulate written radiology responses to correspondence received from AMs and MPs on behalf of their constituents, for approval from the Professional Service Manager Radiography. Use own initiative to maintain effective working relationships with third sector organisations such as the Community Health Council and patient representative groups. Ensure feedback from patients, carers and relatives is utilised in the development of improvement plans and clinical service strategies. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Person specification Experience Essential criteria Relevant experience of dealing with general public / patients / carers / health professionals on customer service issues. Experience of dealing with a variety of professionals and staff at different levels. Desirable criteria Proven experience of working in customer services or related departments within a complex organisation Qualifications Essential criteria Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience Evidence of Continuous Professional Development Skills Essential criteria Experience of establishing / using systems and processes to ensure effective recording, monitoring and evaluation of feedback. Problem solving skills. Experience of effective communication (verbal and written) Ability to work on own initiative and manage own workload Desirable criteria Evidence of good IT skills, including presentations and use of social media / ECDL or equivalent Evidence of handling distressing or sensitive situations Welsh Desirable Oher Essential Criteria Special requirements to perform in the role - Ability to travel within geographical area
