Job Title: Site Engineer (Contract) Location: HMNB Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth We are a leading Tier 1 contractor, proud to be a key delivery partner on the multi-million-pound infrastructure upgrade program at HMNB Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth. This vital project involves complex marine civils, heavy infrastructure, and specialised engineering works essential for supporting the UK's naval capabilities. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Contract Site Engineer to join our dynamic delivery team on-site. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant project, working within a secure and high-standards environment. The Role: As a Site Engineer, you will be integral to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure packages within the dockyard. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Setting Out: Accurate setting out of civil engineering works, ensuring precise alignment and levels for various structures, including marine civils, foundations, concrete pours, and services. Quality Assurance & Control: Implementing and maintaining stringent quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections, maintaining comprehensive records, and ensuring work complies with specifications, drawings, and industry standards. Technical Support: Providing technical guidance and support to the site team, interpreting drawings, resolving on-site technical queries, and liaising with design teams. Documentation: Meticulous record-keeping, including daily diaries, site reports, progress monitoring, as-built drawings, and QA documentation. Health & Safety: Promoting and enforcing the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on site, contributing to a strong safety culture. Sub-contractor Management: Assisting with the supervision and coordination of specialist sub-contractors, ensuring their work aligns with the project programme and quality requirements. Material Control: Assisting with material take-offs, ordering, and managing deliveries to ensure efficient use and timely availability.
