Company Description
Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) is a world‑famous creative agency that makes jaw‑dropping, thumb‑stopping, eye‑opening work for brands across the globe. Founded in London in 1982, we now have offices in New York, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Mumbai, Singapore, and Shanghai. Our first ad for Levi’s showed a black sheep travelling in the opposite direction to a flock of white ones. That’s where we got our logo and our guiding philosophy: when the world zigs, zag. Because it is safe and sensible to follow the grain, the greater risk is failing to stand out. We believe in the power of difference to make a difference.
Our goal is a simple one: make the best work in the world. That’s where you come in. We need rebels, dreamers, thinkers, mathematicians, makers, artists, visionaries, doers, observers, the different and the unreasonable. We need Black Sheep. People who want to make the hearts flutter and minds do flips, who can change businesses and culture. People who want to make a difference, come here for something different.

Overview
We’re looking for an ambitious PR & Marketing Manager to join our growing Business Development Unit (BDU), reporting to the Head of Communications. This is a truly unique and rewarding role, working in collaboration with all departments to develop and tell our stories, and to promote the agency’s creative work, strategic thinking, talent and culture. Experience in PR, preferably within the creative industries, and B2B and consumer PR experience are welcomed. The PR & Marketing Manager makes things happen, acts as a frontline in external communications, drives projects and deliverables, builds a strong internal network, and develops strategic thinking in a fast‑paced media landscape. A BBH PR & Marketing Manager is passionate about making great work, proactive, constantly learning, restless, curious, and dissatisfied enough to be a cut above the rest.
Responsibilities
* You're a true collaborator and a proactive ‘dot connector’ within the BDU.
* You're a self‑starter with a positive and curious nature interested in the advertising industry and our business.
* You’re a comms professional with lots of energy and ideas, natural gravitas and a track record of developing and delivering communication strategies that achieve results.
* You’re used to working with senior clients & stakeholders and earning your stripes as a trusted adviser. Experience working in‑house in complex organisations or in an agency environment managing several clients is preferred.
* You're an excellent writer who can handle a variety of writing tasks – from Q&As to briefing documents, from press releases to commentary, from internal comms to social posts.
* You're detail‑oriented, organized, and hold your work and that of your team to very high standards.
* Positive and high energy – you’ll need to inject even more fun into the BDU. We’re fast‑paced and demanding, but we support each other and thrive on fun. The BBH culture must shine through!
Activities
* PR & Media Relations: You'll develop and deliver strategies to build reputation among target audiences.
o Hands‑on media relations – pitching features, profile and opinion pieces.
o Building and nurturing relationships with target journalists.
o Building relationships with internal stakeholders across the business to build trust and demonstrate communications value.
o Writing press releases, opinion pieces, reactive statements and Q&As.
o Leading initiatives and campaigns with support from the Head of Communications and others in the team.
o Proactively sourcing comment and other opportunities for spokespeople.
o Identifying better ways to do things, constantly striving for excellence and efficiency.
o Overseeing reporting and evaluation for activity, ensuring the New Business & PR Executive completes all necessary monitoring, recording BBH’s presence in media and on social networks, and providing regular updates to senior management.
o Managing the ‘little black book’ of journalist and industry contacts and the associated database.
o Working closely with the Head of Comms to take ownership of specific PR initiatives – including maximising the launch of creative work and talent profile raising.
* Festivals & industry events: Identify and secure speaker opportunities and panel opportunities for talent across the agency.
* Social Media: Work alongside the New Business & PR Executive, Social Strategist and Social Creatives on content strategy and the calendar for the agency’s social channels.
* Marketing assets: Manage the agency website and the content displayed on screens in the reception area and around the office.
Qualifications
* PR experience is required. Industry experience is welcome but not essential.
* Make things happen: Deliver tasks with attention to detail and excellent time management.
* Make things better: Show initiative and be proactive in your work.
* Build strong relationships: Develop industry and internal relationships, including with senior management, through a clear, honest and straightforward approach.
* Behave glass half full: Enthusiastic and upbeat, with a can‑do attitude.
* Plan glass half empty: Understand the importance of forward planning and taking responsibility.
* Creatively passionate: Genuinely curious and interested in all things creative, actively keeping up to date with best‑in‑class work across the industry.
Additional Information
