About the area Westerly Magazine is published by the Westerly Centre, within the School of Humanities. It is staffed and sits adjacent to English and Literary Studies (ELS) as a discipline. ELS is a rich and diverse group that teaches and researches in fields of literary studies, cultural studies, gender studies and creative writing. The School of Humanities provides a very rich intellectual environment with over 3,500 students studying undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a broad range of disciplines in the humanities, cultural and social sciences, languages and music.
