We are looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a growing Specialist Resource Base (SRB) in Newport. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs and help shape a nurturing, inclusive provision from the start.

About the Role
* Location: Newport
* Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday
* Pay: £89.38 per day
* Setting: Specialist Resource Base (SRB)
* Needs Supported: ASD, ADHD, SEMH and wider ALN
* Support: 1:1 and small-group work
* Focus: Behaviour regulation, engagement, emotional wellbeing
* Teamwork: Work closely with teachers, SENCO and therapy staff
* Start: January – induction and training on start
* Commitment: Until at least Easter, likely through to July

What We’re Looking For
You don’t need previous SRB experience — just the right mindset and passion for supporting children with additional needs.
You should be:
* Patient, calm and resilient
* Passionate about SEN and behaviour support
* Confident managing challenging behaviour
* Able to build positive relationships
* A strong communicator and team player
Experience in SEN, youth work, care or behaviour support is an advantage but not essential.
