What’s the role?
We’re looking for a TikTok-obsessed marketer with a strategic mindset and a passion for making fun, out-of-the-box, creative content to join our team and become the driving force behind Howbout's TikTok strategy. If you have 1-3 years of content marketing experience and are ready to fully own our presence on TikTok, translating trends into impactful campaigns, and contributing directly to our strategic objectives, this is the role for you!
This is an in-office role based in our London office (currently in Shoreditch), with one day weekly working remotely.
What will you be doing?
* Obsessing over TikTok: You'll stay on top of the TikTok algorithm, current trends, popular sounds, and platform updates. Your insight will help us understand why content goes viral and how we can use that for our brand, especially when it comes to TikTok Search.
* Owning the strategy: You'll develop and manage our TikTok content strategy (taking responsibility for our presence on the platform) and translate what's happening on social media into smart, engaging content ideas that support our marketing goals.
* Content creation: You're comfortable, confident, and ready to execute against your proposals, bringing all your creative ideas to life.
* Optimising with data: You'll use TikTok data & analytics to get the most reach and engagement from our content, providing weekly reports and actionable proposals on next steps.
Content Creation & Management:
* Creative freedom: We'll give you plenty of room to bring your ideas to life. We're looking for someone who’s endlessly creative with a strong attention to detail.
* Proactive problem solving: You'll identify challenges and suggest solutions on your own, always looking for ways to improve our content and processes.
Community Engagement:
* Connecting with users: You'll manage all our community interactions beyond just posting content, including responding to comments, DMs, and generally building engagement.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a talented, confident, go-getter who lives and breathes TikTok. Someone who embraces a test-and-learn culture, is excited about taking ownership of our content strategy, and is always seeking new ways to connect with audiences.
What do you need to have?
1-3 years of experience working in a content creation, social media or otherwise relevant role, as well as:
* Chronically online: We're obsessed with TikTok, but we want you to be ~OBSESSED~. You're not just a casual user; you're deep in the algorithm, understand viral mechanics, and can effortlessly translate ideas into brand-aligned content.
* Proven content creation skills: You have experience creating engaging content (even if it is just your personal channels).
* Strategic thinker: You're able to connect your day-to-day content creation with larger strategic objectives and understand how your work contributes to business goals.
* Analytical mindset: You're comfortable with social media analytics and can translate data into actionable insights.
* Organised self-starter: You thrive in an environment where you can take initiative, manage your time effectively, and prioritise tasks independently.
* Excellent communication skills: You're articulate, highly personable, and very engaging in front of the camera.
What’s nice to have?
* Experience at an early-stage start-up, even better if it’s another app!
* Experience with editing tools (e.g. CapCut) and/or design tools (e.g. Figma)
* Experience using Notion or other project / task management tools
