Our client is a professional firm of independent financial planners and investment managers, and was the first firm in the North West to be awarded 'Chartered Status'. Since launching their Investment Committee in 2009, the company has experienced continued growth. They operate from four offices across the North West and Yorkshire.
They are now seeking to recruit an IFA Administrator / Trainee Paraplanner to join their professional, growing, and stable team. You will support an adviser on a 1:1 basis and must be comfortable working within a small team, dealing directly with clients and providers.
The ideal candidate will have the drive and determination to succeed, with an eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
Applicants must have previous experience in the financial services industry and ideally have started or be keen to start studying with the CII.
Daily duties include:
1. Providing pre-sales administration support, including:
o Preparation of engagement letters
o Provision of letters of authority/change of agency letters
o Downloading fact finds for completion/client agreements
o Obtaining provider application forms
o Setting up files for new clients
o Obtaining valuations of existing policies and quotes
2. Providing up-to-date valuations to advisers
3. Ensuring back-office software is current
4. Maintaining and updating email lists for newsletters
5. General client account maintenance
6. Supporting advisers and their teams with administrative tasks
7. Managing adviser diaries, work logs, and meetings
8. Developing personal knowledge and qualifications through training and development initiatives
It is essential that the successful candidate provides quality service, demonstrates strong communication skills, and can build professional relationships. The ability to work with various systems, including provider platforms and back-office systems, is also required.
