About the Role
A well‑established manufacturer in the specialist equipment sector is seeking an ambitious and driven Sales Consultant to expand its presence across the Central-Southern UK region. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to join a business known for delivering high‑quality engineered solutions to a diverse client base.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, nurturing long‑standing customer relationships, and promoting a respected product range within a growing market. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, strong communication skills, and regular travel throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct market research to identify new clients and business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads through networking, proactive outreach, and attendance at industry events.
Present and promote a portfolio of specialist equipment to a wide range of customers.
Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales in line with targets.
Deliver excellent post‑sale support to encourage repeat business and long‑term partnerships.
Collaborate with internal marketing and technical teams to maintain up‑to‑date product and industry knowledge.
Keep accurate records of sales activity, customer engagement, and pipeline status within the CRM system.
Participate in training and professional development initiatives to strengthen sales capability and sector expertise.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within the construction equipment, machinery, or related technical sectors.
Understanding of vehicle‑mounted or hydraulic equipment is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and confident working independently.
Comfortable travelling extensively within the region.
Competent with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Full UK driving licence required.
