The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and visionary AI Engineering Lead to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Python and/or C#, machine learning, and cloud-based AI services such as Azure AI or equivalent platforms. Familiarity with emerging AI development environments like Cursor is a strong plus.
As the AI Engineering Lead, you will guide a team of engineers and developers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive innovation across AI initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
You’ll support our success by:
* Leading the architecture, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions.
* Mentoring and managing a team of AI engineers and developers.
* Collaborating with product managers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to define AI strategy and roadmap.
* Designing and implementing machine learning models for real-world applications (e.g., NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics).
* Leveraging Azure AI services (or equivalent) for model training, deployment, and monitoring.
* Evaluating and integrate new AI platforms and tools, including environments like Cursor.
* Ensuring best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
* Staying current with the latest research and trends in AI/ML and applying them to business challenges.
Skills & Experience
What you need to have to be successful:
Essential Skills:
* Significant, demonstrable level of experience in AI/ML engineering.
* High levels of proficiency in Python and/or C# and common ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
* Strong experience with Azure AI services/Azure AI Foundry (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services) or equivalent cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
* Experience in a people leader role.
* Experience with modern AI development tools and workflows (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.)
* Solid understanding of MLOps practices and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Azure ML Pipelines).
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI.
* Knowledge of data engineering tools and practices (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory).
* Experience with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile pattern.
