Finance Assistant - Edinburgh City Centre
We are currently recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our clients busy finance team in Edinburgh City Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid ledger and reconciliation experience to contribute to a growing and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and process sales and purchase ledger transactions accurately
* Perform bank postings and reconciliations on a regular basis
* Assist in the preparation of trial balances
* Support the production of monthly management accounts
* Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries
* Ensure compliance with financial procedures and controls
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a finance assistant role, ideally within a similar environment
* Strong working knowledge of sales and purchase ledgers
* Experience with bank reconciliations and posting transactions
* Ability to produce trial balances and assist with management accounts
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar)
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
