Proseal UK Ltd designs and manufactures high-quality tray sealing and conveying systems for the food industry, with manufacturing facilities in the UK, North America, and Australia. As our Manufacturing Production Manager, reporting to the Head of Production and Supply Chain, your role is to lead our manufacturing team, ensuring best practices and improving procedures using modern manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing the manufacturing team to deliver best practices, added value, and continuous improvement
* Leading team members, managing staffing levels, recruitment, training, appraisals, attendance, and daily supervision
* Setting departmental objectives and KPIs
* Delivering process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
* Preparing and owning the manufacturing budget
* Embedding a safety culture within the team
* Managing labour planning and manufacturing capacity planning tools
Requirements for the role:
* 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role in manufacturing/assembly
* Level 5 technical qualification or equivalent engineering/manufacturing degree/NVQ
* Ability to streamline or implement structures that enhance efficiency
* Strong knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
* Motivational leadership and team development skills
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing
* Experience implementing quality systems to improve efficiency
