Interim Property Counsel – Up to £800 per day (Umbrella) – Hybrid – 9 Month Contract – Birmingham
Venn Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Property Counsel to support a major infrastructure programme on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled property lawyer to join a friendly in-house legal team and make an impact on complex property matters.
Key Details
* Rate: Up to £800 per day (Umbrella)
* Contract Length: Until November 2026
* Working Arrangement: 3 days per week on site, remainder remote
Key Responsibilities
* Advising on complex property matters including acquisitions, disposals, easements, access rights and leasehold interests
* Providing specialist advice on compulsory purchase matters, including CPO processes, statutory powers and blight
* Advising on contentious property issues and disputes arising from land and property matters
* Advising on discretionary property schemes, including application of the Equality Act
* Supporting matters involving utilities, planning interfaces and access arrangements
* Drafting and negotiating bespoke property and land agreements
* Working closely with internal stakeholders and managing external legal advisers
Requirements
* Qualified solicitor with proven experience in property law
* Experience in compulsory purchase and contentious property matters
* Strong knowledge of property schemes, planning, utilities and land agreements
* Experience working in-house or on major infrastructure projects is highly desirable
