Job Description
To carry out tachograph testing, calibration and installation and, to fit electrical equipment into and carry out maintenance on both our vehicle fleet and customer vehicles to ensure that they are in a safe and roadworthy condition.
Key responsibilities
* To carry out tachograph testing, calibration and installation work.
* To ensure that security procedures are followed in relation to secure storage of tachograph equipment and data.
* To carry out general inspection and servicing work on a variety of vehicles.
* To assist with the fitting out of vehicles with electrical equipment to include lights, camera systems etc.
* To carry out diagnosis and fault repairs on Euro 6 vehicles, engine, air suspension and brake systems.
* To conduct the role within as directed by the company and within the guidelines outlined within the group rules and policies.
* To perform any duties within the Company that is a reasonable request within the performance, skill and ability level of the job.

Skills & Qualifications Required
* NVQ level 3 Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician or equivalent.
* Minimum 1 years post apprenticeship experience in a varied environment.
* Good understanding of wiring principles/practices.
* Full driving licence.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient IT skills.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
