HEALTHCARE SUPPORT WORKER - OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
We are in the fortunate position to be recruiting to a permanent health care support worker role within the Occupational Therapy Department, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. As part of Medicine and Unscheduled Care development to support a 7-day service.
The post will involve working closely with the Occupational Therapy team and multi‑disciplinary/multi‑agency teams to assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions.
Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision and in‑service opportunities.
Applicants must hold a valid full UK Drivers Licence.
Applications must be fully completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
There may be a requirement to provide 7‑day service cover to include weekends and public holidays to meet service needs. There may also be a requirement to support other Occupational Therapy teams within the acute Occupational Therapy service.
Interviews will involve a practical element; therefore in‑person interviews are the only opportunity for candidates. We are unable to support any online interviews for this post.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
