About the role
As a Logistics Solutions Manager...
you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the flow of goods through the supply chain, with a strong focus on managing relationships and performance with third-party logistics providers. This role ensures that service levels, cost targets, and operational KPIs are met while maintaining compliance and customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities
1. 3PL Relationship Management:
Act as the primary liaison between the company and its 3PL partners, ensuring alignment on service expectations, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Performance Monitoring:
Track and analyze 3PL KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates), and lead regular review meetings to address gaps and drive improvements.
3. Operational Oversight:
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, warehouse operations, and transportation activities managed by the 3PL to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.
4. Cost Control & Budgeting:
Monitor logistics costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts related to 3PL services.
5. Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure 3PL operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Address any service disruptions or compliance issues proactively.
6. Process Improvement:
Collaborate with internal teams and 3PLs to streamline logistics processes, implement automation or digital tools, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
7. Reporting & Communication:
Provide regular updates to senior management on logistics performance, risks, and strategic initiatives involving 3PLs.
The experience we're looking for
8. Graduate calibre, with supply chain or logistics experience within an FMCG
9. Data driven
10. SAP experience preferred
11. Exceptional ability to manage workload and identify priority tasks to meet tight deadlines
12. Strong influencing / communication expertise
13. Ability to build good relationships and challenge constructively and confidently
14. Ability to consolidate large volumes of complex information, interpret & construct straightforward plans.
15. Naturally inquisitive and interested in the brands.
16. Confident and capable of operating at all levels and able to resolve conflict situations
17. Competent with PC tools and information systems with advanced knowledge of Excel
18. Ability to challenge the status quo and propose improvement.
19. Able to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to evaluate and resolve operational issues.
