Job Role: Solderer Location: Luton Salary: £25,396 - £28,000 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Overview: Role: Undertake product soldering in accordance with defined build instructions and IPC-A-610 andJ-Std standards. Dependant on experience, carry out board modifications to customer requirements Ensure all processes are stringently adhered to, any gaps or process improvements should behighlighted to your immediate supervision. They will ensure that effective remedial actions are taken in a timely manner including updating supporting documentation in QMS Compliance with the company Quality Standard and proceduresExperience/Qualifications: Minimal requirement - Trained to IPC-A-610 and J-Std class 3 standards with demonstrable Modification knowledge/capabilities preferred but not mandatory Experience in product soldering to the relevant IPC standard ensuring quality workmanship at all times using mostly conventional (through hole) components although there will be occasional work with surface mount components. Attention to detail Able to follow customer drawings Ideal knowledge of colour codes for leaded resistors A current IPC certification would be a distinct advantage as would experience working toaerospace standards.
