Lift Engineer
Location: Home-based with national travel

We are working with a respected asset management and surveying consultancy who are seeking an experienced Lift Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a specialist consultancy delivering high-quality services across the UK property sector.
The Role
As a Lift Engineer, you will carry out detailed inspections and assessments of lift and escalator installations nationwide. Your reports and recommendations will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance, planning maintenance, and improving safety standards for clients across a varied portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed condition surveys of lifts and escalators at client sites nationwide
Inspect components including control systems, safety devices, structural and mechanical parts
Assess operational performance and highlight any defects, wear, or compliance concerns
Produce accurate, detailed survey reports with clear recommendations
Liaise with clients and site teams to coordinate inspections and present findings
Maintain records in line with statutory and company requirements
Keep up to date with industry legislation, standards, and best practice (e.g. LOLER, BS EN 81) About You
Proven experience as a Lift Engineer, Lift Inspector, or in a similar role
Knowledge of lift and escalator systems, components, and safety standards
Excellent diagnostic, reporting, and communication skills
Ability to work independently with flexibility to travel nationwide
Full UK driving licence Desirable
NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in lift engineering/inspection
Previous experience conducting condition surveys or statutory safety inspections What's on Offer
