The opportunity
Northreach is supporting a growing business in Chelmsford to recruit a Receptionist to act as the welcoming face and voice of the organisation. This role plays a key part in ensuring the office runs smoothly day-to-day while delivering a professional first impression to visitors, clients, and staff.
You will work closely with internal teams and senior leadership while helping maintain an organised, efficient and welcoming office environment.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for incoming phone calls and direct enquiries to the appropriate teams
* Welcome visitors to the office and ensure a professional and friendly front-of-house experience
* Manage meeting room bookings and support internal scheduling
* Monitor office supplies and organise orders for stationery and equipment
* Liaise with suppliers, building management, and service providers when required
* Manage the central office inbox and forward emails to relevant teams
* Maintain a clean, organised, and professional office environment including shared spaces and kitchen areas
* Provide general administrative support to staff and management as required
* Assist with basic data entry and administrative support tasks when needed
Requirements
* Previous experience in a receptionist, office administrator, or front-of-house role
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organisational and time-management ability
* Confident managing multiple tasks in a busy office environment
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office systems
* Professional, reliable, and detail-focused approach to work
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
