Specialised Clinical Cardiac Physiologist – Echocardiology and Devices

What you'll do:
* Perform a range of specialised cardiac ultrasound investigations including adult transthoracic, contrast echocardiograms, bubble studies, 3D echocardiograms, dobutamine stress echocardiograms, assist with transoesophageal echocardiograms, and perform accurate and reproducible measurements and quantification.
* Interpret findings and independently issue final clinically diagnostic reports to a highly specialised professional standard.
* Recognise the significance of investigative findings, prioritise investigations according to clinical need, and provide professional guidance as appropriate.
* Perform and interpret 12‑lead ECGs; fit, remove and analyse 24‑hour Holter/BP monitors; perform and interpret exercise treadmill tests technically and medically led.
* Assist in syncope assessment including tilt table testing, autonomic function testing, and signal average ECG.
* Perform CRM device interrogations in clinic, inpatients or pre‑assessment settings.
* Maintain an ordered filing and retrieval system and electronic database of patients’ recordings, measurements, reports, attendance details, and provide necessary statistical returns of activity.
* Be trained and accredited under the Resuscitation Council (UK) and participate in providing Immediate Life Support cardiopulmonary resuscitation as necessary.
* Demonstrate self‑motivation, resourcefulness, continuous professional development, and professionalism.
What you’ll bring:
* BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology or BSc in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or equivalent to PTP.
* Transthoracic (TTE) Level 2 accreditation by the British Society of Echocardiography or Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography Certification by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI).
* Knowledge and experience of advanced and highly specialised procedures acquired through accredited courses.
* Ability to perform a range of specialist diagnostic investigations on patients in a variety of clinical settings.
