Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Manchester (2 days onsite hybrid working)
Salary Range: Up to £40,000
Annapurna Recruitment is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join a dynamic digital agency based in Manchester. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work within a hybrid VMware and Azure environment, contributing to the maintenance and development of robust IT infrastructure solutions
What to Expect
The successful candidate will become an integral part of the Infrastructure Services team, responsible for:
* Monitoring, maintaining, and extending a multi-site hybrid VMware and Azure infrastructure.
* Deploying and configuring Windows and Linux virtual machines.
* Supporting and configuring user endpoints and office infrastructure.
* Managing backup operations and fulfilling firewall change requests.
* Ensuring the security and integrity of IT environments.
* Participating in occasional out-of-hours maintenance and support activities.
Job Requirements
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar infrastructure role.
* Proficiency in managing and configuring Microsoft Windows Server, including Active Directory, DNS, IIS, and SQL Server.
* Experience with Microsoft 365 services, such as Entra, Intune, Exchange Online, and Defender.
* Familiarity with deploying and configuring Windows and macOS endpoints.
* Knowledge of networking technologies, including switches, firewalls, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions.
* Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS, particularly for website hosting.
* Competence in VMware vSphere configuration and Linux server management (especially Debian-based systems).
* Experience with Veeam Backup solutions and Content Delivery Network (CDN) management (e.g., Cloudflare).
* Familiarity with patch management software.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
* Self-motivated and delivery-focused mindset.
