This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with Stroke and Neuro experience to join our Community Stroke and Neuro rotation based in North Manchester.
Join our multidisciplinary team which comprises Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses, Psychologists and Rehabilitation Assistants to provide high‑quality rehabilitation to the patients of North Manchester.
You will be supported by our Band 8a Clinical Lead and the Band 7 Occupational Therapists within the service. Regular team training and specific OT training are part of the wider community services.
Responsibilities
* Assess and treat your own caseload of patients in a variety of settings, including patients’ homes and clinics, who need specialist neurological rehabilitation.
* Act as an autonomous practitioner and source of expertise in these areas for junior staff and other health‑care professionals.
* Undertake training, including audit and evaluation, and be involved in the training and supervision of junior and student Occupational Therapists.
Qualifications
Experience working within a Stroke or Neuro service, good communication skills and dedication to providing high quality care to patients.
UK driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel across the North of Manchester for home visits.
